Despite what you may think about #Mitsubishi as a brand. Sales are up in America and what has saved the company over the years are crossovers. Unfortunately for enthusiasts, performance cars have been gone since 2015 and while the 2019 #EclipseCross brings back a name that we haven’t seen since 2012 this is not the same #Eclipse coupe that you may remember from The Fast & Furious movies. Reborn as a 5-seater crossover SUV with a coupe-like roofline, the all-new Eclipse Cross slots between the Outlander Sport and Outlander and is powered by a new 1.5L turbocharged engine under styling elements that will remind you of the old Pontiac Aztec.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a mid-sized SUV that competes with the Nissan Qashqai and the Mazda CX-5. It’s a striking car to look at, and a comfortable one, too – although adults in the rear seats will pay the price for that cool-looking rear end. The Eclipse Cross doesn’t have the interior flair of the Peugeot 3008, nor can it match the SEAT Ateca’s involving driving experience – but the Mitsubishi is a distinctive and safe SUV and its 1.5-litre petrol engine is smooth in general use. Avoid the unpleasant CVT automatic gearbox, though.

The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross looks nothing like it’s namesake Eclipse, but Mitsubishi still hopes to capitalize on the sporty heritage of said coupe with their newest compact SUV. Does this latest ute, in an already crowded marketplace, have the genetics to stand out?

https://www.motorbeam.com does a long term review of the Fiat Urban Cross which is based on the Avventura which is in turn based on the Punto. The Fiat Urban Cross might not sell in good numbers but is a car which carries a lot of emotion and has superb driving dynamics. It feels built to last and is priced attractively too.

The Fiat Urban Cross is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, the diesel isn’t the most powerful in the segment but has a superb mid-range whereas the petrol boasts of the most performance as it is powered by Abarth.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is an all-new utility from Mitsubishi that slots between the RVR and large Outlander. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is an edgy take on utility attracting buyers that are more into design and style than outright functionality. The Eclipse Cross is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder with port and direct injection and 152hp. The power goes to all-four wheels and a CVT. The interior is nicely equipped with a 7-inch centre screen that include Apple Car Play and Android Auto, plus the screen is controlled through a centre track pad. The interior is upscale and refined for a mainline car. These features include a panoramic roof, heads-up display, heated seats, heated steering wheel and heated rear seats. The Eclipse Cross does not come with a power operated rear lift gate.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross has seating for 5-passenger and sits in the hotly contested compact utility range. It competes on price and size most closely with the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage and Mazda CX-5.

(via stupidDOPE.com) With the advent of the CUV sector, getting around town in a whip has neither been more accommodating nor versatile than the present. While kicking it in sunny Santa Monica, we hooked up with the most dope folks from Mitsubishi to tour the scenic hills nestled alongside California’s iconic Pacific Coast Highway. To make things even better, we got the keys to the all-new 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL. We have always had an affinity for Mitsubishi, but this five passenger, push button start, coupe-like CUV has truly set a new standard for the brand. The Eclipse Cross is a roadtrip-worthy beast that comes standard with a 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo power plant that offers a powerful combination of drivability, execution and efficiency. Equipped with Mitsubishi’s proprietary, advanced S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control) system, the Eclipse Cross boasts 152 hp. @ 6,000 rpm with a whopping 184 lb.-ft. of torque. A super smooth 8-speed CVT transmission with Sport Mode also equates to a prime driving experience. The SEL touring package comes with LED headlights, fog lights and LED running lights that pair go hand in hand with LED rear combination taillights . Color-keyed front and rear bumpers pair seamlessly with color-keyed outside door handles and a chrome beltline molding that just won’t quit. The Eclipse Cross is made for anything you can throw at it, and the proof’s in the pudding with heated power side-view mirrors and a dual pane power panoramic sunroof that is perfect for those picturesque drive routes. Mitsubishi’s engineers paid close attention to the aesthetic of the Eclipse Cross, as it caught the eyes of many a bystander along our ride up the coast. The vehicle is slick from top to bottom with aggressive contours that scream “VROOM”. The 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels helped to establish a powerful stance in our Labrador Black Metallic Eclipse Cross, but they supplement the all new Red Diamond exterior colorway for 2018 just the same. But let’s talk about that swanky interior for a minute..

Inside the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, there are a slew of features that may have you questioning if you actually purchased a luxury whip. Aside from the heated steering wheel, the vehicle comes stacked with a 7.0” Smartphone Link Thin-Display Audio (SDA) System with a nifty touch-pad controller that allows you to access your smartphone and more utilizing the Mitsubishi Connect System. It’s also rather dope that the Eclipse Cross integrates Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™ and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with 3-month subscription. Don’t you hate it when your passenger’s are freezing and you aren’t? Nip that problem in the bud with Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control and heated front/rear seats in the SEL touring package. The Eclipse Cross is perfect for those long trips, and it gets better with two 12-volt accessory outlets to plug in your electronics. The seats are optimized for ultimate comfort, so don’t be surprised when your body fits like a glove in the 8-way power adjustable driver seat, or the highly adaptable x plush rear cabin seats.

Keeping your eyes on the road has never been easier with the full color Head-Up Display (HUD) that provides real-time vehicle information while the CUV is in motion. Mitsubishi made certain that the driver and passengers are kept safe in the event of rough roadways by implementing both a rear-view camera & multi-view camera system with the SEL trim package.

Safety features permeate the whole of the Eclipse Cross, with distinction on these strengths:

Advanced seven air bag SRS system including driver’s side knee air bag
Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA)
Hill Start Assist (HSA)
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Blind Spot Warning (BSW) with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Lane Change Assist (LCA) (SE, SEL)
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic High Beam (AHB) headlights, Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) (Available on SEL)
Three-point seat belts and head restraints for all seating positions
And for those who wish for a buyer’s peace of mind, each Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross maintains a fully transferable 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty, 10-Year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty,, 7-year/100,000-mile anti-corrosion limited warranty AND 5-year/unlimited roadside assistance. They have you covered, safe to say. We sped around the California hills with the SEL Touring Package, but the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross offers a fusion of distinctive styling and SUV function with a starting MSRP of $23,295.

So peep the video above, leave your thoughts at the drop, and get to a dealer ASAP to see for yourself that the 2018 Eclipse Cross from Mitsubishi is the MOVE!

Cadillac is adored by the press for building sporty, emotional vehicles like the ATS-V. In contrast, longtime-rival Lincoln receives all the scorn for a lineup comprised largely of warmed-over Fords. But, this brand’s sales are actually growing at a significant rate thanks to new vehicles like their MKX crossover as well as a focus on luxury through its Black Label program.

The MG GT sedan has made a surprise debut in Longbridge, England, giving us our first look at the production version of the compact four-door.
Reports have tied the MG GT to a number of different powertrains, including 81kW naturally aspirated and 96kW turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines with four-speed automatic and five-speed manual transmissions, a General Motors-sourced 103kW/200Nm 1.4-litre turbo with a six-speed dual-clutch auto, and a diesel engine, likely smaller than the 1.9-litre unit used by the larger MG 6.

The MG GT features sharp, angular styling, with swept headlights integrated into a thin grille, a heavily raked rear window, a short boot lid, and a red panel connecting the tail-lights across the rear.

The Suzuki Ignis is back from the dead after a decade-long absence, the latest in the brand’s growing line of reborn ’90s nameplates including the Vitara and Baleno. Moreover, it’s affixed to one of the most intrinsically likeable cars you can buy.

Like the old version – which in retrospect was ahead of its time and was more or less the same size – the 2017 Ignis is a tiny urban runabout with the stance and space of a small crossover. Indeed, Suzuki wants you to consider it the market’s first true ‘light SUV’.

The 2016 Grand Cherokee gets a new shift lever that physically remains in the selected position, while the 3.6-liter gasoline V6 receives standard automatic stop-start technology along with variable valve timing and lift to incrementally improve fuel economy and horsepower. All trims except the SRT gets standard electric-assist power steering (with adjustable effort), and weight reductions across the lineup come courtesy of additional aluminum suspension components. Finally, a new High Altitude package debuts for the Overland, and the Grand

The smallest Buick isn’t a sedan, it’s the Encore crossover. Despite being one of the older entries in the sub-compact crossover segment, the Buick is one of my favorites. That may sound odd since I didn’t much care for the Chevy Trax, but the Encore hits “value” right on the head while the Trax frankly misses it. With a substantial refresh already announced for 2017, there will probably some good deals on the 2016 soon…

Introducing the all-new 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4. A sibling to the well-established and popular Mirage hatchback, the all-new Mirage G4 brings consumers a fresh dose of clean style, environmental consciousness, agility, connectivity, affordability and value. The Mirage G4 goes on sale this spring at Mitsubishi showrooms across the country.

“A few years ago we entered the subcompact segment with the Mirage hatchback and its popularity with consumers has grown every year with its combination of top fuel economy, attractive pricing and one of the industry’s best new car warranties. The new Mirage G4 repeats that value equation in a four-door sedan package,” said MMNA executive vice president, Don Swearingen. “The Mirage hatchback and now the Mirage G4 sedan will form a formidable one-two punch in the subcompact segment.”

The Mirage G4 will utilize the same powertrain of the 2017 hatchback, a revised 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine. The small displacement engine provides a harmonious blend of lively acceleration and efficiency. The Mirage G4 will be at the top of its class in combined fuel efficiency and C02 emissions. Inside, the Mirage G4’s long wheelbase provides for a spacious interior cabin and trunk.
